Indian 2, the unforettable debacle of Kamal Haasan and Shankar has ended its theatrical run. The film received great level of negative response from the audience and started its disastrous run on the opening day itself. The team has opted for an early OTT release to coverup the losses. Now, Indian 2 will be arriving on Netlix tomorrow i.e., August 9th.
Indian 2 stands as the sequel of the yesteryear blockbuster, Indian/Bharateeyudu. Nothing worked for the film from the shoot stage itself. Director Shankar who is known for delaying his films in the production stage had gone further and distanced himself from the project for unknown reasons. The film was later revived back by Udayanidhi Stalin with his Red Giant Movies. The film was then made into two parts which proved to be a costly mistake. Indian 3’s fate also lies in imbalance now with the poor performance of Indian 2.
The Audience have completely rejected the film on the opening day itself. The team with no choice left has decided for an early OTT release. The film’s digital rights are bought leading OTT Giant, Netflix which will stream it on August 9th, tomorrow. Let’s see how the film peforms on the OTT space.
