HIT 3 and Retro were released in theaters on the same day at the box office on May 1. While Nani’s film emerged as a commercial success, Suriya’s Retro failed at the box office. Now, Nani’s HIT 3 beats Retro on Netflix as well.
Nani and Suriya Compete in Theaters and OTT with HIT 3 and Retro
Likewise, the theatrical release, both films arrived on Netflix at the same time this Friday. HIT: The Third Case is trending over Karthik Subbaraj’s directorial on Netflix. The action drama is trending at the top position, whereas Retro is trending at no. 2.
Though both the films have different results during their theatrical release, the digital response has been the same for them. OTT viewers feel that Sailesh Kolanu could have handled the second half much better in HIT: The Third Case.
Even for Retro, the viewers felt that Karthik Subbaraj unnecessarily took too many plot points and failed to do justice to anyone. Nani’s HIT 3 beats Suriya’s Retro on Netflix, but both films are getting a bad response from OTT viewers.
