The Andhra Pradesh High Court has reserved its judgment for November 6 on a petition from actor Allu Arjun and former MLA Ravichandra  Reddy, seeking to quash an FIR alleging a violation of the election code. The case was heard by Justice V.R.K. Krupa Sagar on Friday, with the court directing police to refrain from any actions against the actor and politician until the verdict is announced.

The petitioners’ counsel, Y. Nagireddy, argued that Allu Arjun’s visit to Reddy’s residence in Nandyal on May 11 was purely personal, meant to congratulate Reddy on his election candidacy. The case arose due to a large crowd gathering at Reddy’s house during the visit, which allegedly breached Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code, prohibiting public gatherings at the time.

The assistant public prosecutor representing the police stated that a chargesheet has already been filed, with further court proceedings pending. Both sides presented their cases, with the petitioners emphasizing the personal nature of the visit, while the police cited concerns about public gatherings.

The court, considering the arguments from both parties, concluded the hearing and set the final judgment date, giving Allu Arjun and Reddy temporary relief from legal proceedings until then. On the work front, the iconic star is busy with his upcoming project Pushpa: The Rule.
