Ajith’s latest action drama, Good Bad Ugly, is being released in theaters tomorrow. The film’s teaser created a huge craze among audiences, and the trade expected it to be a massive comeback film for the star. However, Good Bad Ugly Advance Bookings are strong in Tamil Nadu but weak in other states.
As said above, GBU’s teaser received a roaring response, but the recently released trailer fell flat, and the songs also did not work that great. Because of all these reasons, the film is trending like a regular Ajith film in advance bookings.
Good Bad Ugly: Solid Advances in Tamil Nadu
Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly advance bookings are strong in Tamil Nadu but weak in other states. AK’s films always start superbly in Tamil Nadu, and in the rest of the territories, he is always behind Vijay and Rajinikanth.
The same thing is seen for Good Bad Ugly’s advances as well. In Tamil Nadu, the movie is carrying 14 Cr+ in pre-bookings for opening day, and it is set for Ajith’s career’s biggest opening with 30 Cr+ gross. So, the film is all set for a super strong opening in its homeland.
The Other States’ Advances are Poor for Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly
But in the Karnataka, Kerala, and Telugu states, the advance bookings are very low, and all the rest of India’s territories’ advances are just at 2 Cr. With this, the total all-India advance sales are at 16 Cr, while the overseas number is at 4 Cr. The total advance sales for the film are at 20 Cr.
Looking at the trend, the trade expects GBU to take around 50 Cr at the box office on day 1, which is not very high as Vidaamuyarchi itself opened with a similar kind of start. Good/positive WOM may be able to bring big numbers at the box office for the film.
