A Film About a UttarAndhra Legend
Garividi Lakshmi is a biopic of the legendary folk artist from UttarAndhra. Anandhi plays the title role and has said she worked on the film for nearly two years.
The film is directed by Gauri Naidu Jammu and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Kriti Prasad under People Media Factory. Charan Arjun has composed around 20 songs for the film, along with the background score.
At the pre-release event, director Harish Shankar praised the team for bringing the culture, language and folk music of Uttarandhra to a wider audience.
Positive Talk Is the Big Plus
The film has opened to positive reviews, and that’s its biggest strength. For a small film without big stars, word of mouth decides everything.
Garividi Lakshmi has a real chance to become a good money-spinner for its makers. But it needs to grow day by day, especially beyond Uttarandhra.
Dasara Could Help
The Dasara holidays start tomorrow, which gives the film a perfect window to grow. If the positive talk spreads to other regions, the collections could pick up well through the week.
