With Ram Charan’s Game Changer days away from release, all eyes are on the kind of hikes the film will receive from the AP and Telangana governments. The recent incidents in Telangana have already cast a shadow of doubt over the Telangana ticket rate hikes and it needs to be seen how Dil Raju resolves it.
Regarding AP ticket prices, recent Tollywood biggies like Devara and Pushpa 2 could be used as benchmarks for Game Changer ticket prices. Devara makers opted for a hike of Rs 110/- for single screens and Rs 135/- for multiplexes. Pushpa 2 makers went for a hike of Rs150/- single screens and Rs 200/- for multiplexes
Dil Raju and Co. may likely increase the prices for single screens by Rs 135/—and multiplexes by Rs 180. Game Changer may be looking to get hike rates closer to Puhspa 2. However, it could be challenging as the Ram Charan film is not a solo release and is hitting the screens along with Daaku Maharaj and Sankranthiki Vastunnamu. Higher ticket prices might impact Game Changer’s collections.
In Telangana, Revanth Reddy has already declared that there will be no hikes and special shows. We now need to see how Dil Raju manages a positive result for his film.
