One of Tollywood’s most anticipated spy thrillers, Goodachari sequel G2, starring Adivi Sesh, is finally closing in on its theatrical release. After completing an extensive production schedule, the film has zeroed in on its release date.
G2 Release Date Locked
After considering multiple release windows, G2 is now targeting February 5, 2027 as its release date. An official announcement is expected soon from the production house.
The Goodachari sequel has been mounted on a much larger scale than its predecessor, with filming completed across six countries. This ambitious production scope reflects the makers’ confidence in delivering a bigger and better sequel.
Goodachari’s Success Sets High Expectations
Released in August 2018, Goodachari emerged as a blockbuster and redefined the spy thriller genre in Telugu cinema. Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka from a story by Adivi Sesh, the film struck a chord with audiences for its gripping narrative and stylish action sequences, establishing a strong foundation for the franchise.
G2 Aims for ₹100 Cr+ Milestone
With the sequel advantage and heightened fan anticipation, G2 (Goodachari 2) has the potential to emerge as a ₹100 Cr+ grosser and achieve significant box office milestones. Sequels typically enjoy additional buzz among audiences, especially when the original film has a cult following.
The film brings back Adivi Sesh as the Indian spy agent, with director Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi at the helm. The cast has been expanded to include Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi and Wamiqa Gabbi, adding pan-India appeal to the project.
G2 is jointly produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad, Abhishek Agarwal, and Anil Sunkara under People Media Factory, Abhishek Agarwal Arts, and AK Entertainments banners.
