The Telugu Cinema fans eagerly await Sankranthi releases, such as The Raja Saab and Mana Shankara Vara Pasad Garu. But both films have yet to open ticket bookings in the Telugu states because of the ticket price issue. With its dilly-dallying, Tollywood makes the fans go frustrated.
Fans and audiences get extremely excited for star films. They wait for months to watch their favorite stars on the big screen. Many eagerly wait for ticket bookings to open so they can book their tickets as early as possible. But in recent times, this waiting period has become much longer, much more frustrating to the fans of Tollywood.
The film industry now goes through a tense phase before every major release due to ticket hike permissions. Bookings often open at the last minute, forcing fans and audiences to wait continuously. There is always uncertainty until the shows actually begin, mainly because of legal issues related to ticket price hikes.
The industry needs to hold discussions with both state governments and work toward revising the existing ticket pricing system, along with seeking permission for additional shows. In the last couple of years, almost every film has been forced to approach the government and wait until the last moment for approval, creating unnecessary stress for both filmmakers and audiences.
