The elections in the Telugu states was a landmark event and saw one of the biggest voter turnouts in AP. AP voters turned out in huge numbers to elect for 175 assembly constituencies and 25 parliamentary elections. Telangana, on the other hand, voted for 17 Parliamentary seats. Several Tollywood celebrities and top stars turned up to exercise their right in Hyderabad with Prabhas being the one notable exception.
Mahesh Babu, NTR, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi, SS Rajamouli, and several other actors and film industry people turned up to vote and Prabhas absence surprised many. This is not the first time Prabhas has stayed away from voting and this has attracted great negativity and criticism. Being a public figure with a massive following not exercising his voting right sends a wrong signal and didn’t go down well with many.
On work front, Prabhas has officially started shooting for Vishnu Manchu’s ‘Kannappa’. Vishnu announced the same by posting a new poster on his official X handle last week. The fantasy epic also stars Akshay Kumar, Shiva Rajkumar, Mohanlal and others in key roles.
