Dunki, the third film of King Khan Shah Rukh Khan in this year has been released today in worldwide theaters. The film is directed by renowned director Rajkumar Hirani. The film’s songs and promos promised a blockbuster. Dunki turns out to be an ordinary comedy drama.

Story: Manu (Tapsee Pannu), Buggu (Vikram Kocher), Balli (Anil Grover), and Sukhi (Vicky Kaushal) live in a village called Laltu in Punjab. They all wish to go to London and settle there to earn money. However, they face problems to get the visa. Hardy (Shah Rukh Khan) a military officer and falls in love with Manu. Answers to these questions form the rest of the story.

Performances: Shah Rukh Khan did well, but the character did not have much scope for him to perform except for a few emotional scenes. Tapsee Pannu was decent, while Anil Grover and Vikram Kocher were apt. Vicky Kaushal was impressive in a crucial cameo.

Positives:

  • First half
  • Pre Climax
  • Few comedy scenes

Negatives:

  • Lack of strong emotions
  • Ordinary Plot
  • Boring second half

Dunki Movie Review and Verdict:

Dunki is an ordinary comedy drama that has a decent first half and some engaging episodes in the second half and SRK’s screen presence as it’s plus points. However, lack of strong characters/emotional scenes from Rajkumar Hirani act as minus points. Overall, it can be watched without many expectations.
