Dulquer Salman was last seen in Lucky Bashkar, which became a blockbuster at the box office. He is all set to arrive with a Tamil film this time. However, Dulquer Salmaan’s Kaantha theatrical release is getting delayed by Netflix.
Kaantha has seen multiple postponements regarding its release till now. Even though the shooting is completed, the makers have yet to announce the release date officially.
The reason is said to be because of OTT giant Netflix. The leading digital platform bags the digital rights of the film, and Kaantha needs to hit theaters according to its schedule.
Dulquer Salmaan’s Kaantha theatrical release is getting delayed by Netflix. While the makers are planning to arrive on 5th September, we need to wait and see whether the OTT giant okays the date or not.
Directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, Kaantah is Dulquer’s first major release after Lucky Baskhar. It is said to be a period drama, which is set during the 1950s in Madras.
DQ is reportedly playing a superstar in the film, which he has also co-produced along with Telugu actor Rana Daggubati. Bhagyashree Borse stars as the female lead.
