Now, a new theory is circulating on social media that Dulquer Salmaan is Parashurama. In the movie, it is showcased that Prabhas[Karna] gets trained by the ‘Captain’ played by Dulquer. Now, parallels are being drawn to Mahabharata, where Karna gets trained by Parashurama.
Due to these parallels, Dulquer Salmaan is Parashurama and his appearance will be continued in Kalki part 2. Many believe that this is the reason Nag Ashwin chose to end the Captain role abruptly.
