The romantic drama Dude, starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju, has become a box office hit, collecting over ₹100 crore worldwide. Starting tonight, the film will be available for streaming on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
The film was expected to collect near 150 Cr after a massive opening, but it did not reach the figure and ended up as a successful venture. Dude is expected to get good reach once it starts streaming on OTT.
The story revolves around Agan and Kural, two close friends. When Kural confesses her love to Agan, he rejects her, only to later realize his true feelings. But just as he’s ready to express his love, he discovers that Kural is already in love with someone else. The rest of the film follows Agan’s journey to help Kural succeed in her love, facing all challenges along the way.
Dude marks the directorial debut of Keerthiswaran, who also wrote the screenplay. It is the second Tamil production from Mythri Movie Makers, and the film features a strong supporting cast including R. Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon, Rohini, Aishwarya Sharma, and Neha Shetty, with music composed by Sai Abhyankkar.
