The Telugu film trade council elections are finally over today. From 7 a.m. onwards, there was a lot of hungama regarding the elections. This time, the competition had happened between C Kalyan and Dil Raju for the post of president. Both panels were full of blaming each other with allegations during the campaign.
However, Dil Raju won the elections in the end. Dil Raju got 563 of the total 1,567 votes and C Kalyan got 497 votes in this crucial election, which is held every two years. The elected members represent various segments of the film industry, including exhibitors, distributors, directors and studio owners, and they will serve for the period from 2023 to 2025. Dil Raju’s panel won seven of the 12 seats in the producer sector.
Six each from two panels in the distribution sector received victories. Those who were unanimously elected in the exhibitors’ sector are also likely to support Dil Raju.
In the producers’ category, seven out of 12 from Dil Raju’s panel won. Dil Raju, Damodar Prasad, Mohan Vadlapati, Sravanthi Ravikishore, Padmini, Ravishankar Yelamanchili and Mohan Goud won from Dil Raju’s panel in the producers category. This created a festive atmosphere at the film chamber, with Dil Raju emerging as the winner in the elections.
