Dil Raju has to quickly address the ticket hike for Guntur Kaaram. It is widely known that since RRR, big films having ticket hike for the first weekend or 7–10 days have become a norm in Nizam/Telangana. However, if the makers hike the ticket prices for event films like RRR, Pushpa, or KGF 2, the public will not bother about the rates because they are excited to see those films on the big screen.
But if regular commercial entertainers like Guntur Kaaram have the ticket hike, then the film should have massive hype, or it should get terrific word of mouth. In any case, if both of these not happen, then the film will face issues. The same is happening with Mahesh Babu’s latest film, Guntur Kaaram. Dil Raju has to quickly address the ticket hike for Guntur Kaaram.
Going with a ticket hike of more than 400 is very risky for a regular film. Guntur Kaaram team opted for the ticket hike in the same range of RRR, KGF 2 and Salaar in Nizam. All these are big budget pan-Indian films, but Guntur Kaaram Is a regional film.
So it was a very risky decision to get such massive hikes and now the film’s word of mouth has come as mixed, and it did not turn up as huge as the expectations. The film’s distributor has to address this quickly and reduce the ticket prices as soon as possible, or else it will show a heavy impact in the film.
In Andhra Pradesh the ticket prices are fine for Guntur Kaaram as it is a 50 rs hike which will work on Sankranthi season. But in Telangana, the unwanted ticket hike is very risky, and the impact has already started to show on the films’ collections.
