Akhil Akkineni’s upcoming film Lenin has landed in a tricky situation following the postponement of Peddi, one of Tollywood’s biggest releases this year.
Peddi Postponed from March to April 30
Peddi was originally planned for a grand theatrical release on March 27. However, due to shooting timelines not progressing as scheduled, the makers officially pushed the release to April 30.
The announcement surprised fans who were eagerly waiting for the March release.
Shooting Still in Progress
Despite the official April 30 date, industry sources say Peddi still has multiple shooting days remaining. Reports suggest filming may continue until the end of March.
This has sparked fresh speculation that Peddi could face another slight delay if schedules tighten. However, the team remains confident they will complete the shoot and post-production in time.
Lenin Caught in Release Date Limbo
Lenin is a crucial career film for Akhil Akkineni. The film was initially planned for a May 1 release.
After Peddi locked April 30, the makers of Lenin have not officially announced their release date. If Lenin shifts to another date and Peddi gets postponed again, the team could miss a prime release window.
