Bollywood’s latest spy thriller/drama, Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, and several others, is turning into a major blockbuster. The film is now aiming to challenge the box office records set by Pushpa 2 in India.
Pushpa 2, featuring Allu Arjun, was a massive sensation. In Hindi, it broke all previous records and became one of the biggest blockbusters ever. During its second weekend, the film collected ₹115 crore net, setting a benchmark that many believed would be difficult for any movie to beat even in the first weekend, including top stars’ films.
Initially, Dhurandhar opened with a slow start on its first day. However, the film picked up extraordinary momentum during the weekdays. Today, it has seen a huge jump, with estimates already surpassing its first Friday numbers. The trend suggests that Dhurandhar is on track to deliver a stronger second weekend than its first, and it may even surpass Pushpa 2’s Hindi second weekend collections to set a new milestone for Bollywood.
According to the makers, Dhurandhar grossed ₹330 crore worldwide in its first week. With its current pace, the film is expected to cross the ₹500 crore mark by the end of this weekend.
