Dhruva Natchathiram Investor Finalised, Vikram’s Film Set to Release Before October 31

Vikram and Gautham Menon's Dhruva Natchathiram finds another hope for its release.

Director Gautham Vasudev Menon has informed the Madras High Court that an investor has been finalised to facilitate the release of Dhruva Natchathiram, starring Vikram, before October 31, 2026.

The Court’s Directive

The court has extended the film’s release deadline while directing Menon to submit documents verifying a reported ₹10.57 crore payment made to Vikram. The case has been under judicial oversight since May, when Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy ordered an escrow account to be set up under Menon’s production house, Kondaduvom Entertainment, with an advocate commissioner appointed to oversee all transactions tied to the film’s release.

A Project Over a Decade in the Making

Dhruva Natchathiram has one of the longest gestation periods in recent Tamil cinema. Originally announced in 2013 with Suriya in the lead, the spy action thriller was revived with Vikram in 2017 after Suriya exited the project. Directed and produced by Menon under Ondraga Entertainment, the film features music by Harris Jayaraj and an ensemble cast including Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh and R. Parthiban.

With an investor now in place and a firm court-monitored deadline, Dhruva Natchathiram appears closer than ever to finally reaching audiences.
