The second single of NTR’s Devara ‘Chuttamalle’ was released yesterday amidst great excitement. Fans were excited as this was a romantic single marking the entry of Janhvi Kapoor for the first time in Tollywood. Composed by Anirudh, the song is picturized on NTR and Janhvi Kapoor with Shilpa Rao lending vocals.
Composed by Anirudh, this song has been shot in beautiful beach locations. Unfortunately, the song sounds eerily similar to another popular composition leading to plagiarism allegations.
The song is pretty similar to the chartbuster Sri Lankan Sinhalese song ‘Manike Mage Hithe’. Sung by Yohani & Satheeshan, this song was released in 2021 and became instantly viral all over due to the unique female voice and peppy tune.
Due to the two songs’ close similarity, Anirudh is facing a huge backlash on social media. The first song was well received and created a good buzz for the movie and with the second single caught in the plagiarism row, Koratala Siva and the team must plan better and release promotional content with great care.
