Jr. NTR’s Devara: Part One has taken an earth-shattering opening of INR 151 crore worldwide. Of course, 90% of the revenue comes from its Telugu version alone. Here’s how the action drama fared on its second day.
While Devara surpassed the day-1 figures of Salaar: Part One – Ceasefire and Kalki: 2898 AD in telugu by a big margin, it failed to hold the same lead on day-2 over Salaar and Kalki. Despite that, the film registered good occupancies in evening and night shows today, which is a good sign.
Even overseas, after a massive start, the film did not maintain the same level on Day 2. In all territories, Saturday is trending lower than Friday
The Hindi version deserves special notice since a 25% increase in collections was witnessed on second day. Devara’s day-2 Hindi nett is estimated closer to INR 10 crore. Overall, the Koratala Siva-directorial is expected to collect in the range of 60 crore gross worldwide on Saturday, thus taking its final collections over INR 200 crore.
In Telugu the advance bookings for day 3 is lesser than Day2 which is a concern for long run. As tomorrow is Sunday more walk-ins are expected and likely to match Day 2 numbers. The jump is Hindi is very positive sign , Day3 advances are better than Day2.
