‘Daavudi’ happens to be the third single from Jr. NTR’s Devara: Part One. Upon release, it received poor response from audiences, with many drawing comparisons to Anirudh Ravichander’s previous hit ‘Arabic Kuthu’ from Beast (2022).
According to the initial plans, the song was supposed to be played at the film’s end like that of ‘Etthara Jenda’ from RRR (2022). But according to the latest reports, the makers are now opting to trim the song entirely from the final cut.
Like any other two-part saga, even Devara ends with a clifhanger at the end to keep the audiences hooked for the second part. Having said that, the crew wants to finish the film on a high note, and a mass song would dilute the impact of it. It must be seen how this move will turn out tomorrow.
