Dhanush’s 55th film, D55, is directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, who made Amaran. The recent news is that the production house, Madurai Anbu Gopuram Films, has stepped away from the film due to budget and creative issues.
With the production house exiting the project, Dhanush has decided to take over D55 and will now produce it under his own banner, Wunderbar Studios. This move ensures that the project continues without delays and stays aligned with the team’s creative direction.
Director Rajkumar Periyasamy is aiming for a grand action entertainer on a large scale with an extensive cast. Mammootty is reportedly in talks for an important character role, while Sai Pallavi, the female lead, will have a strong, emotionally driven role that will be a significant part of the film’s narrative.
