Court Bans Unauthorized Use of Chiranjeevi’s Name

The City Civil Court in Hyderabad has granted an ad-interim injunction in favor of Megastar Chiranjeevi, protecting his personality and publicity rights. The order, issued on September 26, 2025, restricts individuals, companies, and online platforms from using Chiranjeevi’s name, image, voice, or likeness for any commercial or personal gain without his consent. 

The court recognized Chiranjeevi as one of India’s most respected film icons whose reputation was being misused through unauthorized digital content, merchandise, memes, and even AI-generated materials. 

This landmark order aims to prevent further exploitation of his identity and safeguard his professional and personal image.
