Chiranjeevi Fails, Will Balakrishna Succeed?

For many days, Chiranjeevi remained number one, and after his return, he achieved big box office success, competing with young stars. But there is one thing that Chiranjeevi failed to achieve, and Balakrishna has the chance to do it with Akhanda 2, his upcoming film.

Undoubtedly, in the Telugu Market, Chiranjeevi is still leading in senior heroes, and even at this age, he is competing with Tier 1 heroes and this generation’s big stars. But one thing Chiranjeevi failed to grasp is the pan-India market.

With a stellar star cast and massive budget, Chiranjeevi releases Syeraa Narasimha Reddy as a Pan Indian Film. But though it saw big numbers in Telugu, it did not work in Hindi. Even Godfather was also released in Hindi, as Salman Khan plays a cameo, but that also did not work. Chiranjeevi fails to grab the Hindi markets, and now it needs to be seen whether Balakrishna can achieve that.

Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 is releasing this Friday in all languages. After Telugu, the team is expecting big numbers in Hindi. While the film benefits from its divine theme, Tere Ishk mein, which was released last week, is already performing well. The upcoming release of Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar this week adds a layer of challenge for Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu’s movie.

Akhanda 2 has little hype in Hindi and can only do well with excellent word-of-mouth. It’s difficult for the film to succeed in Hindi, but if it does well, Balakrishna will become the first senior hero to hit big numbers in Hindi since Baahubali.
