Tamil actor Vijay is under increasing pressure ahead of the release of his final film, Jana Nayagan, which is scheduled to hit theatres this Friday. The movie is yet to receive its censor certificate, and reports say that Vijay has also been summoned by the CBI in connection with the Karur stampede case.
As of now, the Central Board of Film Certification has not issued clearance for Jana Nayagan. Due to this delay, the film’s team has approached the court, and the hearing on the matter has been scheduled for tomorrow.
Vijay faces many problems around Jana Nayagan release: CBI to question him soon
Meanwhile, the CBI has issued a notice to Vijay, the chief of the TVK party, asking him to appear for questioning on the 12th in relation to the Karur stampede. He is expected to be questioned at the CBI headquarters in Delhi.
The Supreme Court had earlier ordered a CBI probe into the tragic incident. The stampede occurred during Vijay’s rally on September 27, where 41 people lost their lives and around 60 others were injured.

According to reports, nearly 30,000 people attended the rally, even though the venue had a capacity of only about 10,000. Investigators stated that the failure to follow security guidelines and the lack of proper food and drinking water arrangements contributed to the tragedy.
