Case filed against actor/politician Vijay

Authorities have charged the actor/politician and his bouncers with violations of sections 189(2), 296(B), and 115(I) from the Indian Penal Code. The fans are worried, as a case has been filed against Vijay.

These charges involve gathering unlawfully and helping with a crime that could lead to the death penalty or life in prison. Vijay kicked off his political party TVK in February last year and got named as the chief ministerial candidate for the next elections.

At a recent state conference, he said, “TVK is not a political game; it is an ideology,” the actor said.

Vijay’s political rallies are drawing in big crowds, showing how popular he is. On the flip side, people have criticized them as well.

A TVK worker passed away earlier this month after collapsing while heading to a rally in Madurai. The recent state conference in Parapathi, Madurai district, attracted tons of supporters and kicked off with cultural shows, flag raising, and promises from party leaders.
