Tollywood is gearing up for the release of many biggies this year. Among these are Hari Hara Veera Mallu, War 2, Vishwambhara, and Kannappa. Usually, the business of such big scale projects will be done mostly at the earlier stage itself. But there is a change in this process now with the budgets, quoting rates, and span of these films.
Apart from the non-theatrical business, Producers are failing to set the theatrical business which also causing postponements of these biggies. Hari Hara Veera Mallu starring Pawan Kalyan is releasing on June 12th worldwide which is less than 10 days. But the theatrical business hasn’t been fixed.
Kannappa, starring Manchu Vishnu, is also being made with a huge budget and involves multiple stars in cameo roles. The film’s business is also not done. The same goes with Vishambhara starring Chiranjeevi, which also involves a ,big budget and the business must match with this.
War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan and NTR is scheduled for release on 14th August. Distributors are not ready for rates quoted by the Producers. It is also learnt that YRF is trying for its own release. The promotional activity of these films will also take a toll with the non-finalization of deals.
