Ever since Rana Daggubati was announced to play the antagonist in Bheemla Nayak, fans and movie lovers have been eagerly waiting to see the two-star actors lock horns on the big screens. It is of common knowledge that Rana is one of the finest antagonists in the Telugu Film Industry. He has proved himself in the Bahubali franchise.
But when the title of the film was announced, it created a lot of controversy. The original Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum was named after both the main leads in the film. It was a story about two equals and the clash of their egos. This decision did not go well with Rana’s fans.
Unfortunately, this was only the start. Going by the promotional content also, Lala Bheemla, Bheemla Nayak Title Song seem to suggest a one-sided affair. Now the recent posters are also suggesting the same. Except for an odd few posters from Bheemla Nayak, none of them seem to have Rana Daggubati in them.
The original film was so good because of the characterizations of both the actors. It is to be seen whether this decision from the makers favors them or not. The hype around the film is huge so the collections might not be affected but the movie-watching experience might be affected.
Bheemla Nayak also stars Nithya Menen, Samyuktha Menon, Murali Sharma, and Brahmanandam in lead roles. Trivikram has written the screenplay for the film and Saagar K Chandra is the director of the film. S. Naga Vamsi has produced the film. Thaman S is the music director.
