It is widely known that Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2, which was set to be released on December 5, was postponed because of unexpected financial hurdles. Now, the latest news is that Balakrishna made a big sacrifice to ease the producers’ trouble.
Nowadays, many stars who have even 100 Cr in the business market are charging 25, 30, 35 Cr remuneration, while heroes who have 150 Cr, 200 Cr business markets are charging more than 50 Cr remuneration.
Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 did business of over ₹200 crore. While Balakrishna reportedly received a reasonable remuneration of ₹30 crore (which itself is shocking), he is also said to have made a sacrifice of ₹7 crore due to the makers’ financial difficulties. This is a commendable gesture from the veteran actor, and he is reportedly working hard to resolve any remaining issues to ensure the film’s release.
Director Boyapati Srinu also sacrificed 4 Cr remuneration and supported the producers of Akhanda 2 during a tough time. But the issue is that the amount the 14 Reels Plus team has to pay is huge, and that’s why it’s taking so long. Let’s hope everything gets sorted out and the team finds a suitable release date.
