One of the most interesting discussions among cinephiles about the re-release of Baahubali is how the team managed to cut a single film by combining two parts. In a recent promotional interview, the details of the scenes that were trimmed from Baahubali: The Epic have been revealed. 

Director SS Rajamouli, Hero Prabhas, and Rana Daggubati took part in a candid interview for the re-release of their magnum opus. During their chat, Rajamouli revealed what actual scenes he has removed or trimmed from Baahubali: The Epic.

Tamannaah’s Love Track Trimmed from Baahubali: The Epic

According to Rajamouli, the scenes that involve Avantika’s love story have been mostly removed from the film, and three songs—Pacchabottesina and Irukkupo from the first part and Kanna Nidurinchara from the second part—have been removed from the film, along with a few scenes in war sequences.

The combined duration of the two Baahubali parts is 5 hours and 27 minutes, while the runtime of Baahubali: The Epic is 3 hours, 50 minutes, and 44 seconds.

The first half’s runtime is 1 hour, 42 minutes, and 33 seconds, while the second half’s runtime is 2 hours, 8 minutes, and 11 seconds.
