Baahubali: The Epic posts record-breaking box office collections on its opening day, and its impact is like tier-2 star day one numbers. The film also looks well for a superb weekend in theaters.
The magnum opus of Rajamouli collected 4.5 Cr Gross in Nizam, 1 Cr gross in Ceeded, and 3 Cr gross in Andhra, taking the total Telugu states number to 8.5 Cr. Karnataka gross is around 1.5 Cr.
Baahubali: The Epic gathered impressive collections in all areas, and the Hindi version also did well. Excluding Karnataka, the rest of India’s gross will be around 2.5 Cr.
Overseas numbers are yet to be out, but as per early trends USA opening day is more than $500K, the UK opening is around $100K. With this, the rest of the world’s total worldwide gross for the film goes near 20 Cr.
No film has even opened with 10 Cr in re-release, but the mighty Baahubali has broken the biggest openings by a huge margin.
