Shobu Yarlagadda Looking for OTT Release
It’s a tough time for small budget films which completed its shoot. As the Corona positive cases are increasing rapidly across India. It’s no way soon for the government to permit theaters to resume their screening.
As a result, many films from various industries have opted to have direct OTT release. Few Tollywood film producers are also in talks but now for them were officially confirmed. ShobuYarlagadda who produced India’s biggest blockbuster Baahubali series is now making a small budget film titled UmaMaheswaraUgraRoopasya. This film stars Satyadev as lead actor and directed by Venkatesh Maha who made C/O Kancharapalam. As this film completed its shooting and was earlier scheduled to release on April 17th. The makers are trying to go on with direct OTT release. If any OTT platform is offering a good amount then they may skip theatrical release. It may be a good decision as it takes much more time for theatres to re-open. Even if theaters were opened the big question is will the audience go to theater to watch a small budget film?
