Kantara Chapter 1 becomes the 12th film to collect 500 Cr nett in India. Baahubali 2 was the first film to enter the 500 Cr nett club in India, and since then, films have been continuously added to the list. It is the second Kannada film after KGF Chapter 2 and the sixth South Indian film after Baahubali 2, RRR, KGF Chapter 2, Kalki 2898 AD, and Pushpa 2. This year, it is the second film to collect 500 Cr nett in India after Chhaava.
