Top music director Anirudh Ravichander is said to be planning to launch his own music label soon. Simbu’s next film is Arasan, directed by Vetrimaaran, for which Anirudh is the music director.
Reportedly, the musician is in discussions with the producer to take the entire audio rights for the film and to release it on his own label.
If this is true, then Anirudh might continue to take the full audio rights and not take remuneration, which may inspire other music directors as well.
Already, legendary and veteran music composers like Ilaiyaraaja and A.R. Rahman are strongly fighting for their rights in music, and if Anirudh succeeds in his attempt, it would be a game-changing event in the music industry.
