Sometimes, films that do not perform well in theatres receive a much better response after their release on OTT platforms. Now, the makers of Ram Pothineni’s latest film Andhra King Taluka are also hoping that their movie will get the love it truly deserves after its digital release.
Starring Ram Pothineni and Bhagyashree Borse in the lead roles, the film was directed by P. Mahesh Babu, who earlier delivered a super hit with Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty. Kannada star hero Upendra plays a key role in this film.
The movie also features Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Rajeev Kanakala, Tulasi, Sindhu Tolani, Rahul Ramakrishna, Satya, and VTV Ganesh in important roles. It is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers.
Released in theatres on November 27, the film received positive reviews. However, despite decent word of mouth, it failed to register even moderate box office collections, which came as a disappointment. After not meeting expectations in theatres, it remains to be seen whether Andhra King Taluka will impress audiences upon its digital release.
The OTT streaming rights of the film have been acquired by the popular digital platform Netflix. As a Christmas special, the fan biopic will begin streaming on December 25, 2025, i.e., tonight. Viewers can enjoy the film in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
