Ram Pothineni’s Andhra King Taluka sees a slight jump on the 3rd day over the 2nd day. On the 3rd day, the film has collected around 5 Cr gross worldwide, taking the total gross near to 16.5 Cr worldwide for 3 days.
Definitely for the content and reviews it received, the film deserves much bigger numbers, but somehow still it is underperforming at the box office. After 3 days of box office run, the film still did not cross double digit share and has not recovered even 1/3rd of theatrical rights.
Even overseas, the film initially seems very promising but sees a drop in trend at the box office. I expected Ram Pothineni to get the much-needed success with Andhra King Taluka, but the result has been disappointing.
Today is a very crucial day for the film, and it has to witness a big jump to collect more than day 1.
For breakeven, the film needs to collect around 50 Cr gross, but until the first weekend, the film not recovering even 50%, is worrisome. As next week Akhanda 2 is getting released in theaters, AKT achieving a breakeven mark looks like a very tough task.
