Akshay Kumar once continued as one of top stars of Bollywood. He gave many memorable hits in this period as well. But he started witnessing downfall with some flops at the box office. All his films which released recently bombed at the box office miserably. His latest film, Sarfira, remake of Soorarai Pottru/Aakasam Nee Haddura made a negligible revenue to say the least.
Sarfira was thought to revive Akshay Kumar’s career as the film was a remake of Soorarai Pottru which was a big hit on OTT. The film received great acclaim for its content and brought Suriya National Award for his performance. But Sarfira made no impact and performed poorly in the theatres. The opening day collections of Sarfira were very poor for Akshay Kumar’s standards.
Now, Akshay Kumar must take a break from acting continuously. He should concentrate on the content of the films more than the number per year. Shah Rukh Khan too succeeded following the same way. Now, Shah Rukh Khan is back on track and grossed two 1000 crore films at the box office with Pathaan and Jawaan. Let’s hope Akshay Kumar learns from these mistakes and gives a big comeback in the future.
