There are just 2 weeks left for Akhanda 2’s theatrical release, and while all other areas’ business for the Balakrishna starrer has been closed for record prices, the Nizam area is said to be still open.
Reportedly, the makers are quoting 30 Cr, but the offers are said to be not matching their expectations, and that is the reason they are not convinced to give the rights at a lower price.
It is being said that multiple distributors have tried their luck to get the Akhanda 2 Nizam rights, but due to the unsuccessful negotiations, they had to take a back step. Dil Raju is said to be in final discussions to buy this biggie’s rights, and we need to see whether the negotiations with him will go well or the makers choose the film on their own.
Compared to other areas, Nizam is a weaker territory for both Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu, which might explain why distributors are hesitant to pay 30 Cr.
