Kollywood Actor Ajith is currently under cloud nine with the conferment of the Prestigious Padma Bhushan Award by the Government of India. The Actor is also one of the biggest stars of Kollywood, but his remuneration has been less compared to other Kollywood stars, Rajinikanth and Vijay. He received only 150 crores till now for his latest film, Good Bad Ugly as the highest.
But, as per the buzz, it is learnt that Ajith has now been offered a whopping 200 crores remuneration for his upcoming film planned by the Red Giant Movies. This is definitely a big offer for the Actor. Kollywood usually has a high Non-theatrical business, but these higher remunerations are surely a burden for the Producers affecting films’ quality and output.
Ajith also needs to deliver the right amount of blockbusters to get himself such higher money. Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and Vijay have all scored more than 400 crores with their previous films. Rajinikanth and Vijay have indeed touched the 400, 500 and 600 crore clubs as well. Ajith is yet to deliver a 400 crore film and makers seem not to be taking these into consideration.
Producers may feel that one right film from Ajith would strike gold delivering the above said grossers. Ajith’s Vidaamuyarchi is slated for release on 6th February and Good Bad Ugly is also slated for 10th April. These two films would surely decide that.
