Ajay Devgn’s sports biographical drama Maidaan was released last month to positive reviews and a special word for Ajay Devgn’s performance. The lack of buzz about the film and weak promotions meant that Maidaan posted weak opening numbers and emerged as a massive box-office disaster.

Maidaan has now made its way to OTT and is streaming on Amazon Prime Video but is available for rent only and only in Hindi. The film will be available for all subscribers from 5th June in all languages. This strategy has been adopted by the makers with the hope of making some money through rentals.

Directed by Amit Sharma, ‘Maidaan is a biographical sports drama featuring Ajay Devgn in the role of football coach, Syed Abdul Rahim. He was a football coach in India between 1952 and 1962 and helped India receive worldwide recognition.
