Actress Genelia Deshmukh bags a major Bollywood film as she has taken on the role of the main female character in Aamir Khan’s forthcoming movie, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’. The role of Aamir’s love interest in the project will be played by her. RS Prasanna will be the Director of the film.
Aamir Khan took a short break from films after ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. The actor has announced that he has already started working on his next movie, titled ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’. Genelia D’Souza is the one who will be playing his leading lady, which makes an interesting combination. The casting has been locked now, even though we are waiting for more details about her character.
Imran Khan, who is Aamir’s nephew, debuted as a leading actor in Bollywood with Genelia in ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ 16 years ago, for those not aware.
After ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ failed, Aamir Khan took a long break and recently announced his next project, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’. Aamir mentioned in an interview with that he has not spoken about it publicly, and he won’t be able to say much now either. “But I can tell the title. The title of the film is ‘Sitare Zameen Par’. You must have remembered my film ‘Taare Zameen Par’ and the name of this film is ‘Sitare Zameen Par’ because we are moving 10 steps ahead with the same theme. The film ‘Taare Zameen Par’ was filled with emotion. This film will make you laugh. That film made you cry, this one will entertain you.”
Aamir asserted that the theme is identical. “We kept this name cautiously for that reason. We all have flaws, we all have weaknesses, but we all also have something special, so we are taking forward this theme, but this time, the character of the special child Ishaan in that film – my character helps that character in ‘Taare Zameen Par’. In ‘Sitare Zameen Par’, the nine boys who have their own problems assist me. It’s the opposite.”
It is noteworthy that ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is a Hindi adaptation of the movie ‘Campeones’.
