Long back, there were many reports circulated that Samantha Ruth Prabhu was the last preference for “Rangasthalam” and Anupama Parameswaran was the original pick, but couldn’t do it.
At that point, several articles have appeared out referring to her exit, like how she has withdrawn from DJ Tillu sequel suddenly. The actress said that the date’s clash is the actual issue for her missing the film. But other day director Sukumar himself explained about this.
At the pre-release event of “18 Pages” movie, in which Anupama Parameswaran is the heroine, Sukumar revealed she was supposed to work with him for “Rangasthalam.”
“When I’m auditioning her for the role, Anupama is always looking at her mother. I got doubt if she would do the film properly as she is looking at her mom. That’s why I haven’t signed her,” said Sukumar, revealing the truth.
Back then, there were inside rumors that Anupama didn’t do the film because she was not ready to do skin show which was required for the character of Ramalaksmi, in which Samantha put on an outstanding performance.
But Sukumar stated Anupama is a talented actress, a beautiful performer, and also she could speak Telugu properly and hoped that he will work with her in the future.
All in all, we can say that if Anupama had acted in Rangasthalam, then it could have easily turned her career in a big way, and she missed the biggest opportunity of her career.
Meanwhile, 18 Pages, starring Nikhil Siddarth and Anupama Parameshwaran, will have its big theatrical debut on December 23, 2022. Palnati Surya Pratap of Kumari 21F fame has helmed the romantic comedy-drama.
Ahead of the release, the team organised a grand pre-release event where Allu Arjun was present as the chief guest.
