Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan married Gauri Spratt, his longtime partner, in a private wedding ceremony held today, July 5, at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai.
A Relationship 25 Years in the Making
Aamir and Gauri have known each other for nearly 25 years, but their relationship blossomed only two years ago. Earlier this year, during a media interaction held on his 60th birthday, Aamir publicly confirmed that he was in a relationship with Gauri, marking a new chapter in his personal life.
The wedding was an intimate family affair attended by around 150 guests, including close relatives who reportedly travelled from overseas to be part of the celebrations. Aamir’s children—Junaid, daughter Ira, and younger son Azad—were present for the special occasion.
Aamir Khan’s Third Marriage
This marks Aamir Khan’s third marriage. He first married his childhood sweetheart, Reena Dutta, in 1986. The couple welcomed two children, Junaid and Ira, before ending their 16-year marriage with a divorce in 2002.
In 2005, Aamir married Kiran Rao, whom he met while she was working as an assistant director on the acclaimed film Lagaan. The two parted ways in 2021 but continue to co-parent their son, Azad, who was born through surrogacy.
