Venkatesh and Trivikram’s Aadarsha Kutumbam has received permission for a ticket price hike in Andhra Pradesh. The AP government has issued an order allowing higher ticket rates for the film’s first 10 days. In Telangana, however, the film will release at regular ticket prices.
AP Ticket Hike Details
- Multiplexes: ₹75 extra per ticket (including GST)
- Single Screens: ₹50 extra per ticket (including GST)
- Shows: 5 shows per day
- Period: 10 days, from October 30 to November 8
The hike is over and above the regular admission rates fixed by the state government. It applies to all theatres across Andhra Pradesh.
Government Order Issued
The AP Home Department issued the memo on October 26, granting permission after a request from producer S. Radha Krishna of Haarika & Hassine Creations. The request was submitted on October 21 through the Cinematography Minister’s office.
The order has been sent to District Collectors, Joint Collectors, licensing authorities and Commissioners of Police across the state to take necessary action.
5 Shows a Day in AP
Along with the price hike, the film has been allowed five shows per day in Andhra Pradesh for its first 10 days. That gives Aadarsha Kutumbam more shows to cash in on its opening week and the weekend that follows.
Regular Prices in Telangana
In Telangana, Aadarsha Kutumbam is going with the regular ticket prices set by the government order. There will be no special hike for the film in the state.
That could help family audiences, who make up the film’s core crowd, as lower prices often mean bigger family footfalls.
What It Means at the Box Office
The AP hike will help the film’s gross numbers in its first 10 days, especially in multiplexes. With the Venkatesh and Trivikram combination expected to draw big crowds, the extra price per ticket and the five-show allowance could give the film a strong start in Andhra Pradesh.
Aadarsha Kutumbam releases in theatres on October 30.
