Allari Naresh is not convincing in this role. His character is not well written, and fails to create emotional connection with the audience. Dr. Kamakshi Bhaskarla is fine, while Sai Kumar ends up with a pointless and silly role. Viva Harsha, Jeevan Kumar, Getup Srinu, and Anish Kuruvilla are okay. Abhirami delivers a strong performance in a small but important role.

Analysis:

Directed by Nani Kasaragadda, 12A Railway Colony is a suspense thriller. The beginning feels weak and directionless. The romantic scenes between Naresh and Kamakshi are average, and a few comedy bits between Naresh and his friends are decent.

The film becomes interesting around the interval with a well-timed twist. The second half starts well but slowly loses grip. Sai Kumar makes a strong entry as the investigation officer, but strangely, it is Allari Naresh’s character, a local rowdy, ends up doing all the detective work.

The story eventually relies on just a couple of twists. The pre-climax works well, but the climax again falls flat.

Positives:

  • Interval Twist
  • Initial Parts of the Second and
  • Pre-Climax

Negatives:

  • Inconsistent Narration
  • Silly Twists/Scenes
  • Logicless Scenes
  • Climax

12A Railway Colony Review and Verdict:

12A Railway Colony is a dull and weak suspense thriller with only a few good moments. It lacks direction for most of the film and ends up being very disappointing.
