After making a sensational directorial debut with Balagam, comedian-turned-director Venu Yeldandi delivered a blockbuster and earned widespread critical acclaim at the national level. Now, he is all set to return with his second directorial venture, titled Yellamma, and the producers dropped its official glimpse.

DSP Debuts as a Hero in Yellamma; First Glimpse is Intriguing
The glimpse opens on a strikingly poetic note, and it has an intriguing backdrop of a neem leaf spinning in a stormy whirlwind, with two men rushing from opposite directions, one wearing jingling ankle bells and the other in shoes. As the video ends, the heavy rain pours down, symbolizing divine power and rural mysticism.
Venu Yeldandi’s Yellamma will be released Pan-India wide
The neem leaf finally lands behind a shirtless man seated near a pond, a drum tied around his waist. As he turns back, they reveal Devi Sri Prasad as Parshi, a traditional folk percussion artist in a transformative look with long hair and a thick beard is intense.
Interestingly, the story of Yellamma was initially narrated to actors Sani and later Nithiin, but ultimately found its way to DSP, who is fondly known as the “Rock Star” by his fans.
The film is being produced by Shirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, with Dil Raju presenting the project. The makers of Yellamma planned it as a pan-Indian release and will hit screens in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
