Yamadonga starring NTR is set for a re-release. The film will release on May 18th on the occasion of NTR’s birthday. The film is already carrying advance bookings of around 1 crore gross which is decent but not big as compared to NTR’s previous re-release, Simhadri.
Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and Salaar, which re-released this year, had around 2 crores as advance, and Arya 2, which re-released recently, grossed more than 1.5 crores advance bookings. But the team expects the film to register huge walk-ins as NTR has a massive mass pull among audience. There will also be an advantage with tomorrow being a Sunday.
If the walk-ins happen as expected then the film may have advance bookings in the range of 2.5 crores. Yamadonga was a decent film and doesn’t hold any special place in fans and audiences’ hearts. The ,Neutral Audience may also not show interest in this film. So, we have to see how Yamadonga performs with its re-release.

The reason for the film being sold at such a moderate price is that it was projected as a Telugu film, as it has been directed by a Telugu director. The situation is much more similar to Dhanush's other bilingual movie, Sir [Vaathi].
