Why Agent Buyers Are Not Entitled to Recovery or Compensation from Producers

It is very well known to everyone that Akhil Akkineni’s latest film, Agent is a very big disaster at the box office. It is a common thing that whenever a movie becomes a disaster, always the industry and audience talk about did the producer compensate or gave the recovery money for buyers or not. Furthermore, it is a whole separate thing to discuss whether the Producers are liable to the Distributors or not, but as far as Agent movie is concerned, the buyers cannot ask the recovery amount from the Producers.

Because no buyer has paid the amount as committed to Anil Sunkara. Before the release, the buyers had continuously decreased the price and just paid 1/2 of the advances for the committed price. So, the Producer just received around 20 Crores advances for the theatricals, and the Agent has become a complete loss for the producer more than the buyers.

Agent, having Malayalam Megastar Mammootty in an important vital role, was released on April 28th in theaters worldwide. However, the film failed to entertain the audience and Akkineni fans as well. It became a miserable failure at the box office. Even the producer of the film, Anil Sunkara, apologized to the fans for the result of the film by stating it was a big mistake on. their part, to make a film without a bound script. Hero Akhil Akkineni wrote an open letter to thank his fans and well-wishers for their support and stated he will come back stronger.

Sakshi Vaidya played the female lead in the Agent movie, while Hip Hop Tamizha composed the tunes. Bollywood actor Dino Morea appeared as the antagonist. Urvasi Rautela sizzled in a special song. Produced under the banners of AK Entertainments and Surender 2 Cinema, the film’s story was written by Vakkantham Vamsi.
