Actor Vishal stated that he has no faith in the awards and really if he gets any awards, he will throw them in the trash. Vishal’s upcoming film ‘Mark Antony’, which is directed by Adhik Ravichandran. The movie will be released on the 15th of this month in honor of Vinayaka Chavithi.
In this context, Vishal replied to a question related to the National Awards at a program held in Chennai. “I do not believe in awards at all. The real award is given by all the people together. With the blessings of the audience, I have been standing in the industry for many years and acting in films. Actually, that is the biggest award for me” he said. He added that upon getting an award for the films which he acted in, he will throw them in the dust bin.
Vishal’s Mark Antony teaser was released recently and the aesthetics and footage of the film seem completely eccentric, much according to the director Adhik’s standard. The teaser’s depiction of everyone killing someone or the other leaves it unclear who is the hero or the villain.
Other than Vishal and SJ Suryah, Mark Antony also stars Selva Raghavan, Suneel, Abhinaya, and Ritu Varma in pivotal roles. GV Prakash Kumar has composed the songs for the film. Mark Antony is a sci-fi film that takes place in the 80s and the present, with characters time-traveling through phones.
