With Nani’s The Paradise nearing the end of its theatrical run, all eyes are now on Ranabaali, the period action drama starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna. Written and directed by Rahul Sankrityan, known for Taxiwaala and Shyam Singha Roy, the film is set in pre-Independence Rayalaseema and is scheduled for a October 16, 2026 release.
Standard Ticket Prices
There had been considerable speculation about a ticket-price hike, with reports suggesting that the makers were considering enhanced rates in Andhra Pradesh. However, Mythri Movie Makers have confirmed that Ranabaali will release at standard ticket prices, with no special hike in the Telugu states. In Andhra Pradesh, the regular ceiling is ₹147.50 for single screens and ₹177 for multiplexes. In Telangana, the newly revised pricing system allows eligible single-screen/special theatres to charge up to ₹250 for regular seats, while multiplexes can charge up to ₹250 for regular seats and ₹300 for recliners.
Fans Hail the Decision
The decision means audiences will get to watch the film without the premium pricing usually associated with major-star releases. Vijay plays a brave warrior who fights British colonial oppression to protect his people during the devastating Rayalaseema famine, while Rashmika portrays his wife. Ajay-Atul are composing the music, with Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar producing the film under Mythri Movie Makers. Considering the poor form of Vijay, season of the year and long-run prospects in mind, the makers appear to have dropped the hikes.
